What this is
A hands-on course on structuring spreadsheets that other people can read and trust: input and output separation, lookup and logic formulas, scenario tables, error checks and simple forecasting. You work through a model of your own as you go. The course is organized into 6 modules — workbook structure, core formulas, building the model, scenarios and sensitivity, checking and auditing and presenting results — with 18 lessons in total, so you build the skill in a sensible order and can return to any part when you need it.
It does not turn you into a financial analyst, and it does not promise that any model you build will be right about the future. A model is only as good as its inputs; the course teaches structure and checking, not forecasting certainty.
What you will be able to do
- Lay out a workbook with separate inputs, calculations and outputs
- Write lookups and conditional formulas that do not break when rows move
- Build a simple three-scenario model with one switch
- Find and fix the common formula errors before anyone else does
- Present a model's results in a one-page summary a manager can read
